yikes, it’s been over a month since i posted. i’d say i’ve been busy but i haven’t; just unmotivated. and i know the photo i used has probably been seen but i don’t have anything new, so nyah. i’m going to place blame on the fall rush of games for the 360 and leave it at that.
i’m starting to get motivated though. i’ve been looking into more ways to get more out of my one speedlight and have been getting motivated to clean out the spare room so i’ll have a place to shoot. i also just realized that we have a “yoga studio” that nobody ever uses that has a ton of space that i could go set something up in; so i may start hauling stuff over there. sadly i’m a deadbeat and i missed my last photo group but we have a new project and ideas are formulating.
just rambling now. i think i may start carrying my camera with me everywhere now that i’ve got a 50mm lens. back to the roots, the big zoom is nice but it’s cumbersome and draws a lot of attention. plus it’s heavy. i also want one of those Blackrapid straps. carrying the camera in a bag is useless if you actually want to take photos, and my strap is really uncomfortable so i put it in the bag :/ this looks like a nice compromise.
i second the xbox excuse
