we returned from whistler today.  as always from a road trip, i was in a hurry to get home, so i’d been doing about 90 since i hit the US/Canada border.  i guess somewhere between mt. vernon and marysville we come upon some traffic so i have to slow down.  incidentally this is also about where the freeway slows from a 70mph speed limit to 60mph.  i’d seen at least 3 people pulled over by highway patrol and a yellow mustang and i had been pushing our luck for a while but traffic has just not allowed us to go faster so we just sit in the left lane doing 60-65.  then i see some movement in my rear-view; here comes a ‘vette driven by this woman with awful hair.  she’s weaving in and out and getting right up on people.  she gets right up on me and i start muttering.  she pulls around me then dodges over two lanes to the far right and speeds off.  just as she pulls out from behind me i yell, “that’s it!  flush ‘em out, bitch!”  at that same moment a nondescript black SUV pulls off from the side of the road and lights up, yep, it’s a cop.  it chases down the ‘vette and pulls her over.  tessa and i start cracking up and we see the guy in the yellow mustang in the next lane, also laughing his ass off.

the lesson to take away from this is the only thing being the fastest on the freeway gets you is a ticket.

that was sweet
