we saw Hot Fuzz tonight. it was made of awesome and win. stop reading, go see it. now.
it’s been a very long week. i am very glad for the weekend. the whole week has just been one thing after another at work, relentless. we’ve extended our hours to 24/5 so we don’t really have to carry a pager during the week. we just designate one of the senior guys to be the “call that guy first” guy. yet somehow i managed 9 pages from friday to monday. we’ll be going 24/7 on may 1 and we’ve been promised beer as a celebration of almost two years of beeping hell.
i’ve discovered today that my shoes are not suited at all for driving. the heel on them is shaped such that it puts my foot at a funny angle relative to my calf when i have the gas down. this causes my right calf to get very tired. i really want some of those Piloti shoes with the rounded heel. but that would just be silly. because then i’d have to get driving gloves too.
