today is drunken karting day! i guess it’s my “company picnic” even though we’ve never had a picnic. last year we had an argosy sound cruise, which from it’s inception was lovingly referred to as the booze cruise. now please don’t misunderstand, it’s not like we’re all a bunch of drunks, we work hard. and as such when we get a minute we enjoy it as much as possible
this year we’re going to this indoor electric go-kart track. apparently there is also an arcade. and last week our receptionist who is planning the whole thing asked me where to get a keg from. i know as well as you do what one and one make. our netops team apparently has a reputation as a bunch of gearheads. so they are apparently “the group to beat” in the company. there are a few of us in client services with sports cars too you know. we’ll give em a run for their money.
