a lady phoned me this afternoon to ask me if my cat edward was just out looking for food or if he was lost. i said no, my lost cat is maxwell. she says, he’s black and has a pierce county tag that says edward. sure enough, i remembered that for some reason i put edward’s tag on maxwell. i think it was because maxwell went outside at my old place and that tag was associated with my phone number; just in case.
so i left work early to go pick him up and he was very happy to see me. that is until i took him outside. he doesn’t like outside. he doesn’t like cars. he doesn’t like men who talk loud. he doesn’t like seagulls. he just doesn’t like outside, it scares him. when i brought him inside he just wanted to sit in the bathroom on the green rug. which is fine, he’s had a rough TWENTY SIX DAYS on the outside. he’s ready for some close-in indoors action.
after a while i just kept going in the bathroom and bringing him to the couch until he just laid down and slept for the last 3 hours. poor guy is all tuckered out. he seems a little agitated by the way the apartment smells, i think this is because edward, who we surrendered, peed everywhere and it still kinda smells like him.
well now he gets his own luxury box over in sand point to lord over; with 20ft ceilings and a loft he can peek down at people from. that’s right, we’re moving to a better place! woo! it’s been a pretty good last few days. i got one baby back, and i got a new place to live. an awesome place to live. with a real kitchen. and a fireplace. score.

oh, and my cat has returned

I’m very glad you finally found your lost kitty! It’s been aweful cold recently, especially up there…
