i made it through the week. and what a week. i’m taking tomorrow off so i can really pack up my apartment. i got rid of a bunch of clothes i never wear, which felt good, and packed up all my books, dvds, and video games. now i just need to bag up all my clothes, box up my kitchen, and sweep anything left into a box or toss it. i also get to pick up my bike tomorrow. unfortunately rain is forecast until sunday night. which means one of two things, i learn to ride a fixie in the rain, or in traffic. either way it should be interesting.
so i finally leave this hole on saturday. i suppose it’s not that bad, but i just can’t deal with the whole no-natural-light thing. it would be more bearable without the mold making it feel even more cave-like. the dehumidifier helped and i’ve been opening the windows a lot. seems like having everyone that comes over be cold is not a good trade off for having mold. it seemed like the logical solution that i just move. so this weekend is going to be hectic. hopefully the move will go smoothly. i don’t really need to get everything done saturday, just the big furniture and whatever i can pack. the rest i can just shuttle in my car throughout the week or something. it’s just across town so it’s not that big a deal this time to do that. it will be good to move on from this place. it wasn’t bad, but caves aren’t my bag.
