so my rent is getting hiked. not a whole lot, but enough to convince me to move. it’s at the bare edge of what i’ll pay for this dungeon and i’ve been thinking about moving for a while now, so what the hell. i actually found a place right on alki in west seattle. i’ve kinda wanted to live there for a while, and i figured now’s my chance. the rent is right, it’s in a decent location, and i’m sick of mold and no natural light. there are four things i really like about this place, and i will list them in no particular order:

- the manager is what i think morgan freeman would be like if he settled down and managed apartments 10 years ago
- there is a bike trail right across the street that goes all the way to my office
- the fucking sound is right across the street (and there’s a beach 4 blocks away
- there’s a very real possibility that i can get an apartment with a sound view in the building within a few months for TEN BUCKS MORE.

there’s also a bus that stops near the building that takes about 10 minutes longer than my current bus. so i figure i can’t lose here. yeah i like living where i do now, but it’s not necessary. i don’t go out very often, and when i do i drive there anyway. so i’m trading walking to a couple restaurants and the grocery store for the beach and walking a little farther for restaurants and the grocery store. i think that’s a good trade.
