i installed an anti-spam plug-in yesterday and my comment spam has gone from about 60 per day to ZERO in the last 18 hours. suck it spammers.

i rode my bike to work today. i discovered exactly how steep the north side of queen anne hill is; at least when you have a 40/15 gear ratio. i think i’m going to try fairview on the way home. i think the route will be denny -> harrison -> fairview. the once i’m across the university bridge i can catch the burke-gilman somewhere around the uni. i’ve also discovered why proper biking attire is useful. at least on the bottom: bike pants usually have a pad on the butt. also that a proper seat is a requisite to your comfort. next week i’m going to outfit myself a bit better. but it’s really hard to find knickers. i’ve only been able to find shorts or pants. there doesn’t seem to be very many places that carry that happy medium that is the knicker.
