so i’ve been acquiring things for my kitchen lately. i’ve found this great cooking store in the pike market called Sur la Table that has all kinds of quality kitchen stuff. the other day i got a really nice bamboo cutting board and a bright orange spatula. yesterday i walked down there and got a set of orange stackable measuring bowls. why? because i always find my measuring cups wandering off for other purposes, and half the time i measure and put stuff in bowl anyway. what’s great about these bowls is that they all have two measurements on them. from 1/8th cup to 2 cups i have at least two containers for every useful measurement in between. i see this as being very handy in the future.
the other day tessa and i embarked on a culinary adventure and decided to try making meatballs. i would have to say it was a success, if a bit spicy. and who doesn’t like spicy meatballs!?
i’ve been cooking a lot more lately. i’m running out of quick things to try. the internet isn’t really a good resource for finding quick recipes because it takes to long to find things. maybe i’m not doing it right, but that’s just what i see. if anyone has any recipes i’d love to have them. i have a few i can pass along as well.
i’m also thinking about starting to bake some, so if anyone has any recipes or tips i’d appreciate those too.
