srsly

so i’m on vacation again. it’s great. i like this not working and getting paid thing.
christmas was good. i’m not equipped for a bar, i just need some booze. and i got myself Guitar Hero. it’s a lot of fun and really hard.
going snowboarding tomorrow. which should be fun since snow has been dumping from the sky for the last three days. freshly waxed and tuned board, fresh powder. MMmMmmmMmm.
dunno what we’re doing for NYE yet. probably a party at a friend’s. no bar hopping because that probably means downtown. and that would get nuts and most likely annoying. the less driving the better.

on the way back from errands today i almost got sideswiped by some 16 year old driving daddy’s Integra. jackass didn’t check his mirrors before just trying to change lanes without signaling. i had to stop, swerve, and downshift pretty quickly with two really heavy ikea boxes right behind me. i think i burned up my clutch a little bit, but i suppose that isn’t much different than usual. lessons learned: when going less than 25mph and needing power to move real quick, 1st gear is better than 2nd gear.
we got some shelves from ikea to hopefully alleviate our clothes problems. those being 1. that we have nowhere to put them so 2. they end up all over the floor. they’re those banks of boxes shelves. we got the 2×4 box kind. one to stand on end in the corner, and one to lay horizontal in the closet. we figure this is more flexible than getting the big 4×4 one and taking up a whole wall. we’re also probably getting rid of the bookshelf in our bedroom which will hopefully make more space and have less clutter. we’ll see. probably post pictures when we’re finished.
