got back from whistler yesterday. conditions weren’t ideal, it was kinda icy and the bottom half of both mountains were closed, but we had fun. oh and it started snowing drifts the morning we left. the road out was covered and kinda slick. i’m always glad for AWD in incliment weather. i guess the moral of the story is: Go to whistler after christmas to ensure good snow.

my eel died while we were gone. when we were leaving kat noticed him kinda bent funny up against the front of the tank and we noticed that he had a chunk taken out of him. it appears someone decided to try and eat him and took two fairly large bites out of him. i put him in a sick divider to see if maybe he’d get better if he was just left alone but no luck. i’m trying to decide if i want another one. i hesitate for two reasons. first being if i got another eel of the same type it runs the risk of getting attacked because they just don’t get that big. the other reason is the other kind of eel i want does get big, and it might eat other fish. we’ll see though. i’m not sure i care so much if it ate a couple of my fish, but i don’t like to lose them so it’s kind of a catch-22.

i’m on holiday again until the new year starting on friday, which i am looking forward to. i’ll be really busy with family stuff though. so maybe it won’t really be a vacation :/
