my property manager just emailed me to say they bought us a dehumidifier. she’s inclined to believe that the mold isn’t in the wall. i’m skeptical because it came back in the exact same spots as last year. though on the other hand the same conditions are present: increased humidity and warmth on the inside, cold as a witche’s tit on the outside. the humidity is provided by my aquarium which, for better or worse, will not be parted with. so we’ll give this a try. along with our increased fervor for cleanliness and a desire to not have to pack up all our junk, we will try the dehumidifier. because honestly, if the mold isn’t there, we’re only left with bad design. which we seem to have coped with.
