tessa baked me a cake for my berfday. it’s like a giant brownie. tasty.

it’s also getting cold, and wet, finally. this also means my apartment is being invaded by mold. that’ll happen when two of your walls have dirt on the other side of them running the entire length of the apartment about halfway up the wall. my landlord doesn’t seem to think this is worth getting back to me about. bleach doesn’t work, so i’m going to try something else, but it’s getting ridiculous and i don’t think i should have to deal with it. so we’re going to look at another place, above ground, today. it’s slightly smaller, like 50 sq ft tops, but is newer, has a view and a balcony, a dishwasher, and i think secured parking. so depending on how the space is laid out we might try to get it. i’d kinda feel bad moving out because we’d be leaving brian. but mold > brian. he thought that was funny, and agreed. my only real concern is the cats. we have three of them. and i’m not sure a nicer place would want three cats living there with two people :/ but we’ve resolved to keep up on cleaning, to which we’ve had a slow start. but in the interest of not going nuts in the event we don’t move it’s for the better.
i’m not sure what i want to happen. my current place is getting to me since it’s really dark, the hardwood floors are a pain to keep clean, and the mold. if this place were above ground it would only have one problem, and that’s partly our fault since we’re bad about vacuuming. and i really hate moving. because we have a lot of shit. though if we moved i think i would just throw out or give away anything that was non-essential. we really need to get rid of some stuff but unfortunately we have enough space where we can shove it in a corner and deal with it later. i think this weekend i’m going to get rid of some things. hopefully i can stick to this.
