so i found what might be the awesomest thing ever to happen to music.

Pandora

it’s based on the Music Genome Project and picks music based off of an artist or song you tell it. it then creates a streaming music station, that you can pause (no rewind, license issues) that plays music in a similar vein to the artist or song you entered, and begins to play music that sounds like what you entered based on a number of criteria. i’m not sure how it works, but it’s damned cool. if nothing else, it’s worth the $36 a year subscription just to have the opportunity to be exposed to a new artist. i’m really tempted to sign up.
