first Billy Corgan to try and reform Pumpkins.
not sure how i feel about this one. i’m sad i never saw them in concert, but it really was the end of an era when they broke up. corgan’s new album isn’t all that great from what i’ve heard so far. the single is solid, but the rest of the album just doesn’t sound like it holds up. but i will take this with a grain of salt because i just listened to 30 seconds of every track on itunes. i will wait until i have a full copy in my hands to make a full review.

then Sarah Michelle Gellar to be Alice.
this is so wrong i don’t even know where to begin. first, she’s too cute to be a mentally disturbed, knife wielding psycho. second, i have zero faith in the director, who headed up a rehash of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre; or in the no-name writers with a tv production assist under their belt. granted it’s not confirmed if thier script will be the shooting script, but it doesn’t look good. the problem is that nobody will be able to capture the horror AND the strangeness of American McGee’s world… maybe Tim Burton, but i don’t think that would quite work either. i guess we’ll just be watching this one for a while to see if production shapes up.

So I read that first one completely out of context….. and I thought, “Who the fuck is he to think that he can change pumpkins for the better? I like pumpkins just as they are.”
