i got a pair of these tonight. i went to the store and listened to the 595 (black version of the 590) and the 600 but neither of them sounded as good. the 555 are so much more comfortable too. they just sounded like they were more balanced throughout the sound range. the 595 sounded a little flat in the mid range, and the 600 were a little too much in the top end. and the bonus of all this was the 555 were cheaper. so now i have a pair of REALLY nice headphones, and they cost just as much as my old pioneer sedj5000. too bad the cord is super long and the plug is 1/4″ with a huge 1/8″ adapter. makes it hard to use with my ipod, but i don’t want to walk around looking like an air traffic controller.
